This is the third time the Philippines won Miss Tourism International pageant - Maria Esperanza Manzano (2000), Rizzini Alexis Gomez (2012) and Angeli Dionne Gomez (2013)
2. The highest number of participants (60 beautiful girls from around the world).
3. For the first time Miss Tourism International winner receive lucrative prizes. - Dioni Angeli Gomez received a full scholarship worth RM77, 800 (Asian Metropolitan University), RM10k cash, a set of jewelry and other gifts from sponsors.
4. First black girl from Africa managed to penetrate the Top 10 (Zimbabwe).
5. First time the MTI winner was crowned by the Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.
