Last week, right after my TV Guide Network "2013 Golden Globe Awards Fashion Wrap" shoot, I filmed a very special SPECIAL--for TV Guide Network Video On Demand, entitled "Award Season 2013 Fashion Trends With Nick Verreos".








I had a lot fun looking at some of the red carpet fashions at this past 2013 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet--and then editing it down to the Top Trends, just for YOU!!! Some of the Top Trends included:

Red Carpet Dishin'







This past Monday was the debut of TV Guide Network's Awards Show Fashion Wrap--THE TV source for post-award show red carpet dishing. I was invited back to join the panel (I think it's my FIFTH YEAR!!), and I was joined by hair DIVA, the one and only Miss Tabatha Coffey, "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards and our gorgeous host, actress and TV personality Ali Landry. I was extra excited because Ali wore one of my NIKOLAKI gowns--from my Spring 2013 Collection (co-designed by David Paul, of course!)...

We're BAACK!!!










I'm especially excited because the stunning Ali Landry will be wearing one of my newest NIKOLAKI gowns for the taping to host the show!! (Yeayyy!!!)

Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013: Another stand-out of the night was Jessica Alba in this "hot off the runway" Pre-Fall Tangerine silk taffeta gown with a mermaid shape and beautiful low back bustle detailing.

Julianne Moore in Tom Ford: Another one of my favorites of the night was Julianne Moore in this custom Black and White Silk Crepe (a BIG fabric trend of the night!) column gown with open back and beautiful draped detailing.




Julianne is always a fashion risk taker. Sometimes she gets it right and sometimes she doesn't. But that is what happens when you don't always play it safe. In this dress I think she got it right. There is just a bit of fashion forward risk taking while still being classic and elegant.




And her accessories were exquisite. I LOVE the cuffs worn over the long sleeve, the gorgeous earrings, the modern clutch and the pop of bright pink lip. Great job Julianne!

 Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen: Kate was one of the best dressed of the night for me in this black silk crepe long sleeve, column gown with intricate gold beading. I love the Rock n' Roll vibe to the beading. It was very Elvis: The Vegas Years!







The exaggerated keyhole neckline was sexy but not vulgar and I LOVE the belted waist with added gold beads. She looks fresh, young and modern.



One small issue...what do we think of the hair? Should she have pulled it back so we could really see all that beading or is this style she wore "classic Kate"?

Emily Blunt in Michael Kors Resort 2013: This was a dress that I was a bit on the fence about. I love the silhouette and the high cut outs on the side and back, but the heavy gold Guipure Lace was a bit too much for me. I would have loved to see it in a gorgeous tangerine colored silk crepe.




The dress fits her to perfection and I do LOVE those Pink and Ruby Red gemstone earrings! Gorg!

Halle Berry in Atelier Versace Fall 2012: Halle wore another one of the more controversial dresses of the night. She chose a printed silk chiffon, one shoulder, corseted, draped gown with high side slit and cut out detail. Wow! When it takes that long to describe ONE dress, you have to wonder if there might be a bit too much going on!




I've said it before and I'll say it again, Halle would look good walking the Red Carpet in a plastic bag, but this look reeks of trying too hard. The whole think is just too much. It is almost embarrassing. She is stunning, her body is amazing, she just doesn't need all that dress!
