It's Emmy Awards time and I am SO EXCITED to be back with "my girls", host Ali Landry, Tabatha Coffey and Kyle Richards, and be part of this year's Emmy Awards Fashion Wrap on TVGN! Fashion Wrap is where we discuss all the Good, Not-so-Good and Much Much More of the previous night's 2013 Emmy Awards Red Carpet. This week, another TVGN "Count It Down" special that I appeared on as a "Style Commentator" premiered-- "Iconic TV Looks"--The special talked about, what else, ICONIC TV LOOKS and trendsetting TV fashions...




Iconic Looks such as Jennifer Aniston's 'Rachel Hair' in "Friends", as well as Robin Williams' fun colorful suspenders from "Mork & Mindy" were topics for discussion. Naturally, I had a lot of fun talking about all these plus many more trendsetting TV fashions.

TONIGHT, as you know (or you SHOULD KNOW!!) is the Premiere of Season 12 Project Runway on Lifetime! Yes, kids, almost ten years and eleven seasons later, the little competition show I was part of back on Season 2, is still going strong.







I have had the pleasure of BLOGGING the Recaps as well as being a judge during the castings/auditions for the last TEN SEASONS (I need to change my nickname from "Uncle Nicky to "Project Runway Grandpa Nick"). I've also been asked to do my commentary on several of Lifetime Network's "Road to the Runway" casting special shows that precede the actual Season Premiere. The last one I did was with Season 1 Project Runway All Stars Winner Mondo Guerra and we had a blast! On that note--once again I was asked to give my "expertise" and cheeky commentary on the new season and it's designers--Here are some behind-the-scenes pics from the filming:









Hola Baby: Right after I finished my filming, guess who had just arrived??? Season 11 Champion Michelle Lesniak! She--literally--had just flown in from Utah, where she was doing an event/appearance the night before. It was soooo good to see Michelle. She looked fabulous, naturally--even if she had just been on a plane and barely had three hours of sleep, probably! She wore a vintage blouson-sleeve high-neck blouse and perfectly fitting flared leg jeans. We DISHED for several minutes--OK, more like AN HOUR (while she was getting her Hair and Makeup done for her segment)--and then it was time to "let her go" and allow her to actually do what she was there to do: film her "I'm Last Season's Winner and I Know What's Up!" commentary.

During my post-Oscar Monday, I also filmed a quick--but still fun segment with CNN International which I very much enjoyed. I spoke LIVE to CNN Newsroom: Live from Hong Kong Anchor Patricia Wu. I made sure to get a photo (above) from my little "set"  at the CNN Studios in Hollywood.

Model Wars:













Oh the Model Wars. In an industry that's based on beauty, it can get ugly. The latest is what's happening to French model Constance Jablonski. Jablonski is a SUPERmodel--on the catwalks of Milan, Paris and New York--as well as in all the top magazines.







Of course, she's known for being a so-called "Victoria's Secret" model--because she's modeled in several of their UBER fabulous fashion shows (2010, 2011, and 2012). Constance has also done runway for Dior, Gucci, Donna Karan, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen...to name but a few. She has also landed all the top fashion and beauty campaigns, including D & G, Donna Karan, Burberry, Topshop, H & M and Estee Lauder:









What's the ESCANDALO? She's been sued--for $3.3 million--by her former agency, Marilyn Model Management. They say she violated a three-year contract with Marilyn when she left to seek representation with DNA Model Management--a competing model agency. The founder of Marilyn, Marilyn Gauthier--as well as many of the top bookers--left the agency she founded and, from the looks of it, then Constance followed. Who knows where this will end. As a result,  ABC's Good Morning America was doing a story on the subject and contacted me to get a fashion angle from a designer. I was happy to oblige. We taped the interview last night from my NIKOLAKI design studio in LA...

NBC-LA Channel 4: Let's try this one more time!!









After being pre-empted last night due to that CRAZEE car chase! I am giving it one more try and will be talking Golden Globes Red Carpet TONIGHT on NBC4 Los Angeles' Evening News at 5pm (most likely at approximately 5:45pm) with Anchors Colleen Williams and Chuck Henry.




We will, of course, be discussing all the fashion on the Red Carpet and as the Fashion Spokesperson for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM I will be discussing all the trends and who I thought were the Best of the night!

Golden Globes Fashion Weekend Begins!







Yes, kids, it's 2012 Golden Globes Weekend!! I'm very excited because of course, this is the time when I am running around town fitting gowns for possible actresses/TV show hosts who might wear my NIKOLAKI gowns (crossing fingers) as well as busy doing my "Fashion Expert" commentating. One of my most favorite places to give my "Nick Two Cents" on red carpet fashion is KNBC/NBC-LA.




As the Fashion Spokesperson for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM, I have had the pleasure do my pre and post-red carpet commentating for NBC-LA Channel 4 here in Los Angeles.




First up is TOMORROW morning: I'll be on the "Today in LA Weekend" news show 7-8am talking to anchor Ted Chen (above, left) about my predictions for Trends on the Golden Globes 2012 red carpet--and I've even done some of my original fashion illustrations to show how I would like to see a couple of the nominated actresses.
