Teen fashionistas gather at the first-ever Candy Style Awards

It was a night filled with fashion and fun at the first-ever Candy Style Awards held last May 4 at the Rockwell Tent. The Candygirls were dressed up to the nines as they met their favorite fashion bloggers, hung out with the Candy cuties, and watched celebrity performances all in one night!

The event kicked off with an energetic dance number from all-male group Legit Status. After hyping the crowd with their hip moves, Deputy Editor-in-chief Marla Minianodelivered her message to all Candy girls.

Celebrities who exuded fashion flair were awarded first in the celebrity award category. Elmo Magalona and Julie Anne San Jose were hailed as the most Stylish Love Team while Julia Montesand Kathryn Bernardo were named as the most Stylish BFFs. Megan Youngand Lauren Young nabbed the most Stylish Sisters award; Clara Magalona the Junior Style Star award while Rammy Bitong won the most Stylish Candy Cutie award.

In between the awardings, the Candy girls grooved to Someday Dream's synthpop sound while Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona brought the house down with their song number.

The eight Candy Style Stars, who Candy revealed in their May 2012 issue, were presented and recognized in the event for providing style inspirations to thousands of Candy girls. Awardees were fashion bloggers Camille Co, Tricia Gosingtian, Laureen Uy, Patricia Prieto, and Kryz Uy; actresses Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Sarah Lahbati; and DJ/Host Jaz Reyes.
