01 Ria Rabajante, 23, Pasig City
Ria graduated from Assumption College in 2012 with a degree in Bachelor in Communications Major in Media Production. She wants to be a film director so she could create romantic films and make people fall in love.

She joined Bb. Pilipinas because it’s been her dream since she was 10. The very first time she was able to watch a pageant was back in 1999 when she was 10 and Miriam Quiambao competed for Miss Universe. When Miriam won 1st runner up, she already knew she wanted to be like her.

Ria loves hanging out with her friends, skyping with her family in the states, shopping, biking.

02 Ma. Bencelle Bianzon, 23, Quezon City

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bencelle won a gold student leader award during her time.

She admits she used to be frequently bullied in school as a kid because of her prominent ears and dark complexion and decided to join the competition so she could prove that she can succeed in spite of what other people are saying behind her back. Bencelle loves reading books and informative blogs.


03 Zandra Flores, 24, Pangasinan
A graduate of University of Bradford in the UK, with a degree in Medical Sciences and specialized in Cellular Pathology, Zandra loves the fact that Filipinos are very caring, passionate, and stays positive no matter what.

She’s into signing, dancing, researching, reading books and wants to start a micro business one day.


04 Nicole Donesa, 18, Quezon City
Nicole, a talented singer, used to perform in various Fil-Am events in the States. She joined Bb. Pilipinas for the experience and believes the honor and the respect that you get from becoming a beauty queen is something that you take with you forever.

Being separated from her family who’s in the States is one of the sacrifices she had to make before joining the pageant.

 05 Maria Sofia Gloria Mustonen, 23, Marikina City
Sofia takes up Diplomatic and Consular Affairs at the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. She joined the pageant because she wants to enhance herself as a person and experience a once in a lifetime event.
She aspires to be a politician someday and is currently trying to be active in different charities and activities in Antique – her mom’s province.

06 Yvette Chantal Mildenberger, 19, Legazpi City, Albay
Yvette is half German and half Filipino. Her mom is Bicolana. She was born and raised in Germany but her parents decided to migrate to the Philippines when she was 12.

The reigning Ms. Bicolandia 1st runner up, Yvette speaks Chinese and basic French. She plans to put up her own travel agency and wants to help Filipinos visit Europe because she knows it’s difficult to get a German or Schengen visa.

07 Maria Ivy Kristel Gonzales, 24, Quezon City
Kristel is currently taking up law in Ateneo. One of her inspirations is Anna Theresa Licaros whom she describes as a witty and beautiful woman who always speaks her mind.

Her boyfriend is very supportive and even bought her makeup kit for the pageant.

08 Abbygale Moderin, 20, Antipolo City
Abbygale took up Bachelor of Science in HRM at World Citi Colleges with an Acedemic Distinction Award and dreams of working at Burj Al Arab, Dubai’s 8-star hotel

She is actively involved in church ministries and is a Sunday school teacher.

09 Katherine Anne Enriquez, 23, San Mateo, Rizal
An only child, Kate is a graduate of Holy Spirit Manila with a degree in AB Communication Arts. She used to work as a marketing coordinator for an events firm and resigned from her job to focus on Bb. Pilipinas because it has always been her childhood dream.

Kate enjoys swimming, playing badminton, editing short films and videos. She says she learned about discipline when she joined the pageant because “You have to be responsible for what you do.”



10 Anna Carmela Aquino, 22 years old, Taytay, Rizal
Anna is an educator at San Beda College, Rizal. She is a talented dancer who has had the opportunity to travel out of the country because of her talent. She believes she will make it because of her exotic beauty.
11    Anna Carmina Antonio, 22, Isabela
Anna won the Ms. Tourism in the Philippine Youth Pageant when she was 17. She won Bb. Isabela in 2009.

Currently working as a Front Desk Officer, Anna wants to be a hotelier someday. Her inspiration for joining Bb. Pilipinas 2013 is her family.




12 Camille Carla Nazar, 23, San Miguel, Bulacan
Camille currently takes up Elementary Education at the Bulacan Agricultural State College. She really wants to be a teacher because she loves children.

She is into watching movies, cooking, and solving mathematical problems. One thing she has learned is that anyone who has potential can join Bb. Pilipinas regardless of their status in life.




13 Charmaine Elima, 20, Binangonan, Rizal
An International hospitality Management student at Siena College, Charmaine is graduating this March. She won Ms. Rizal 2012 and Miss Mandaluyong 2013.




14 Mary Rose Pujanes, 20, Batangas
Mary Rose took up Accountancy at First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities in Tanauan City. She won Ms. Batangas in 2011.

She admires Venus Raj for her very Pinay beauty and attitude and doesn’t believe in dieting because she can’t think on an empty stomach. She jogs a lot to keep fit. 


15 Pia Wurtzbach, 23, Cagayan de Oro
A former ABS-CBN talent under the screen name Pia Romero, Pia believes being a beauty queen is different from being an actress. She believes being a beauty queen requires one to be herself and presentable at the same time. 

One thing that most people don’t know about her is that she’s approachable and can get along with anybody.


16 Joana Cindy Miranda, 20, Nueva Ecija
Cindy used to be a Wiltime Good Time co-host. She decided to resign from the show because she really wanted to join Bb. Pilipinas. She used to be very shy in person even when she was already working as a TV host.

Despite her achievements, Cindy wants to maintain her simplicity.


17 Carin Adrianne Ramos, 24, San Pedro Laguna
Carin is a professional nurse. She used to work in the ER. Her mom joined Bb. Pilipinas in 1984 but backed out because she fell in love. Now, Carin wants to continue her mom’s unfinished business.

She is an aspiring professional singer who loves watching horror movies and internet couching. Carin also dreams of putting up a small business in the near future.


18 Christine Paula Love Bernasor, 25, Ormoc City
Christine’s mom didn’t know that she tried out for the pageant and was surprised to find out that she’s now among the 50. She’s a part time model and used to be in the marketing. 

She’s very active with volunteer work under Couchsurfing (a group of travelers). They welcome foreigners who come to the Philippines and show them how life is in the country. The group conducts feedings every month and helped during the flood in Marikina by setting up a soup kitchen.


19 Hannah Ruth Sison, 24, Makati City
Hannah is an instructor at De La Salle College of St. Benilde and does freelance multimedia art (animation and graphic media). She’s into drawing, photography and playing the piano.

Hannah, who has a striking resemblance to Isabelle Daza, dreams to become a motivational speaker.


20 Bea Rose Santiago, 23, Masbate
A Communications student majoring in Public Relations at the York University in Toronto, Canada, Bea was born in the Philippines, but she and her family moved to Toronto when she was 14.
Bea has learned to be independent for 6 months now. She lives on her own here in the Philippines. She is a Gawad Kalinga Ambassador who plays the bandoria and would like to promote her province, Masbate, through joining the pageant.


21 Lourenz Grace Remetillo, 25, Iligan City
A graduate of Iligan Computer Institute in Iligan City with a degree in Desktop Publishing, Lourenz was the Philippines’ representative to the Miss Supranational pageant in 2011.

Grace is a professional ramp model who used to be really boyish. She idolizes Venus Raj because she believes Venus paved the way once again for the Philippines in the Miss Universe Pageant.


22 Ellore Noelle Punzalan, 26, Las Piñas City
A licensed medical technologist who currently takes up medicine at FEU-NRMF, Ellore wanted to be a jill-of-all-trades while growing up. She took up workshops in musical theater, painting, taekwondo, basketball, and volleyball.

People thought she was a tomboy before.


23 Leona Paula Santicruz, 21, Aurora
Leona is a graduate of Lyceum of the Philippines with a degree in International Relations Major in Diplomacy and currently works at the bureau of customs. She won Bb. Aurora in 2010. Prior to joining the pageant, she used to practice walking at a car park near her workplace.

This 5’8” beauty, who admires Precious Lara Quigaman for her beauty and hosting skills, wants to dedicate the honor of becoming among the official candidates to her grandfather who passed away last month. 


24 Cassandra Naidas, 22, Antipolo City
Cassandra was born in the States but grew up in the Philippines. A graduate of De La Salle Manila with a degree in AB Psychology, she made sure she got her college diploma before joining the Bb. Pilipinas Pageant.

Janine Tugonon and Venus Raj are two of her beauty queen idols. She thinks Venus is very personable and regal while Janine is the epitome of hard work.

Cassandra says she had to work on her confidence because she’s not the type to join pageants and used to being in the public eye. Her hobbies are playing basketball, golf, squash, and target shooting.


25 Merry Joyce Respicio, 18, Bulacan
Merry Joyce currently takes up Tourism Management at Bulacan State University. A freelance model, she already had the chance to participate in the Philippine Fashion week and modeled for Cosmopolitan Philippines and Metro Wear. This volleyball and badminton player wants to be a flight stewardess someday.


26 Anna Fernandina Buquid, 22, Quezon City
Dindi is currently taking up Diplomatic Affairs in De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. She thinks that being a beauty queen is similar to being a diplomat—both are representatives of the country. This is her first ever beauty pageant. Prior to joining Binibining Pilipinas, she also worked as a freelance model. 

Dindi describes herself as adventurous and “makulit,” which she thinks makes her stand out. She is also very athletic. In high school, she played volleyball, and in college she took up Ultimate. She plays basketball with her brother in her spare time. She is currently into airsoft (electronic guns). She believes airsoft trains her to think fast, remain calm, and come up with strategies in a short amount of time—qualities that she believes will also help her in the pageant. 


27 Vania Valiry Vispo, 24, Batangas
Vania is a graduate of Information Communication Technology from San Beda College. This 5’11” stunner first played basketball in school before she joined beauty pageants. Binibining Pilipinas is her second national pageant. A self-described introvert, Vania believes that joining pageants help her develop confidence, and hones her skill in dealing with different people. She thinks that being part of the golden batch of Binibinis is an honor, and that it will open a lot of opportunities for her. 

Her beauty queen idols are Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes. She likes Melanie Marquez because she thinks Melanie always comes up with interesting answers; she likes Leila Lopes because she thinks Leila is very charming. 


28 Mercegrace Raquel, 19, Nueva Ecija
Merce joined Binibining Pilipinas because she wants to show that morenas like her are the “true” Filipina beauties. The recent wins of Venus and Janine encouraged her to join the pageant. This is her first national pageant. She comes from a family of teachers and professors, and hopes to become one as well someday. She is currently taking up BS Math and Science Teaching, because she loves math and biology. Merce is also a blogger, and maintains blogs about beauty pageants and trivia. 


29 Pauline Quintas, 17, Marikina City
Pauline is a second year BS Tourism student at World Citi Colleges. She is taking up Tourism because she wants to become a flight attendant so she can travel the world and experience different cultures. She is also a working student; she does ramp and print modeling to help finance her studies. Pauline joined Binibining Pilipinas because it is her dream to become a beauty queen. She thinks that by becoming a beauty queen, she can influence and inspire people. This is her first time to join a national pageant. 

This 5’10” stunner is also a keen sportswoman; she is into taekwondo and swimming. Her beauty queen idol is Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup. 


30    Maria Theresa Gorgonio, 25, Cebu City 
Twenty-five year old Theresa was a flight attendant for three years before finally deciding to join Binibining Pilipinas. Prior to joining Binibini, she joined Miss Teen Philippines and Miss Cebu. She says it was her mom who gave her the push to join the pageant. “It was my mom’s biggest dream for me to join, and I am doing this for my mom,” she says. 

Having worked as a flight attendant, she has seen a lot of the world, which she believes will work to her advantage in this year’s pageant. Theresa is also a self-taught photography enthusiast. She learned how to take good pictures by watching YouTube videos and asking questions to her photographer friends. She likes taking photos of portraits and landscapes. 


31 Maria Angelica de Leon, 19, Las Piñas City
Mariel is the daughter of veteran actors Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong, but she has started to make a name for herself as a model. She studied Professional Cookery in New Zealand, and has plans to open her own café. While studying in New Zealand, her older brother, who is a surfer, encouraged her to take up surfing. 

Mariel is also an opera singer. She believes that joining Binibining Pilipinas will be a good experience for her, and will allow her to enjoy her other passions—fashion and modeling. 


32    Cindy Abundabar, 24, Camarines Sur 
Cindy has always dreamed of becoming a beauty queen, but she only got to join pageants after she graduated college. While this is her first national pageant, she has joined numerous beauty pageants in her native Bicol. From her pageant experience, she learned how to be always confident, and to always be humble and simple. She considers being part of this year’s roster of Binibini candidates as the realization of her beauty pageant dreams. 

She is also a fan of TV series. Her favorite Koreanovela is Princess Hours; her favorite local TV series is Be Careful With My Heart. She likes these shows because the storylines are very lighthearted. Cindy also loves to do arts and crafts. She is a photography enthusiast as well. She once used her beauty pageant winnings to buy a camera. 

Her beauty queen idol is Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj. “I like her because she is super simple and super nice. She is also very down-to-earth; she remains simple kahit ang dami na niyang na-achieve,” she says. 


33    Parul Shah, 24, Baguio City
Half-Indian Parul graduated BS Nursing from the University of Catanduanes. She is the second of four siblings. She likes going to the mall with her friends. She believes that one does not need to step on anyone in order to reach higher in life, and that showing humility and respect will go a long way. 

Her beauty queen idols are Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj, Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup, Miss Universe 2012 1st runner up Janine Tugonon, and Bb. Pilipinas-World 2007 Maggie Wilson. Parul likes Venus because they share the same roots; both of them being half-Indian. She likes Janine because she thinks Janine has a nice, unique beauty. She admires Shamcey’s wit, and Maggie’s strong attitude. 


34    Grace Yann Apuad, 25, Agusan del Sur
Grace started modeling at 13. When she was 14, she joined the Ford Supermodel of the World—Philippines, and won Miss Photogenic. She worked in a hotel in Macau prior to joining Binibining Pilipinas. She loves to read self-help and inspirational books, and Nicholas Sparks novels. 

Her beauty queen idols are Ruffa Gutierrez and Janine Tugonon. She likes Ruffa’s beauty, and Janine’s drive to succeed. 


35    Theresa Marie Fenger, 25, Quezon City 
Half-German Theresa is a singer and model who grew up in Canada. Before moving back to the Philippines, she joined the Canadian Idol in 2006, and Miss Global Teen Canada. In the Philippines she worked as a model and was the lead singer of the local girl group Eurasia. Theresa also enjoys sports. She is into muay thai, gymnastics, swimming, and badminton. She also likes flying remote controlled airplanes. 

She likes Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj, because she feels that Venus has a really strong stage presence, and that she is a good icon for a beauty queen. She also likes Venus because even after she won, she remained nice and down to earth. 


36    Angel May Villafuerte, 21, Naga City
Angel is a proud supporter of the Kariton Movement. She teaches children how to read and write in her native Naga. She is also involved in Mr. Kenkoy, a weaving program in Naga City, and the proceeds from the bags sold goes to the women who make them. She joined Binibining Pilipinas because she wants to become a spokesperson for charities. She believes this is the perfect time for her to join the pageant because she has finished her studies already and she thinks she is ready to take on the challenge. 


37    Ma. Teresita Alaine Baccay, 22, Laguna
Mat is a registered nurse, but eventually would like to pursue her dream to become a neurologist. It has been her dream to win one of the Binibining Pilipinas crowns. As a kid, she used to make “gowns” out of curtains and practice her walk. 

In elementary, she was a sepak takraw player. She chose this sport because, “mahilig akong maglaro ng sipa noon, at lagi akong tinatalo ng mga pinsan kong lalaki. So nag-sepak takraw ako; kaya kapag naglalaro kami ng sepak takraw, ako na ang nananalo!” When she got older, she pursued volleyball and badminton.


38    Mariz Ong, 21, Isabela
Twenty-one year old Mariz was adopted twice, by two sets of parents. She admits that before, she didn’t want to admit that she was adopted. “Before, I was ashamed, baka ayaw na nila sa akin kapag nalaman nilang adopted ako, but that’s not the case.” Mariz decided to join Binibining Pilipinas because she believes that this experience will open the doors to a lot of opportunities for her. Plus, she sees this as the chance to prove that even if she is adopted, she can still be successful. 

Mariz looks up to Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj. “Siya yung nagbalik ng Pinoy Pride sa Miss Universe.” She believes that Venus’s story is very inspiring; “hindi hindrance yung status mo in life to succeed. Like in my case, hindi hindrance yung pagiging adopted ko to succeed in life.” 


39    Mutya Johanna Datul, 20, Isabela
Mutya describes herself as a “simpleng probinsyana na may matayog na pangarap.” As a young girl in Isabela, she helps catch salagubang in the fields, which they make into a delicacy. She says Binibining Pilipinas is her “ultimate dream.” She has watched the pageant since she was a little girl, and has since wanted to be one of the queens. 

In her spare time, Mutya likes to listen to music and sing. Her beauty queen idol is Venus Raj, because “nakikita ko ang buhay ko sa kanya, na nabuhay sa hirap, pero nagsikap. Sa kanya ko nakita na hindi imposible na makamit mo yung pangarap mo.” 


40    Jan Helen Villanueva, 20, Bulacan
Jan has been joining pageants since she was 16. “Bata pa ako, mahilig na akong mag-makeup, mag-heels, mag-model,” so she considers being part of this year’s roster of candidates as one of her dreams coming true. 

As a kid, she had asthma, so she took up sports to overcome it. She was into volleyball, badminton, swimming, table tennis, and gymnastics. Now, she is learning archery. 


41    Ariella Arida, 24, Laguna
Ariella graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines. She is a keen sportswoman, having tried swimming, volleyball, and now running. She recently ran 21K. She also did ramp modeling after graduating from college. 

Her beauty queen idol is Venus Raj. She likes to watch Venus’s pageant videos because she wants to emulate the way she moves and speaks. 


42    Jacqueline Alexandra Mayoralgo, 24, Makati
Jam graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from De La Salle University. Prior to joining Binibining Pilipinas, she joined Miss Engineering and Miss Industrial Engineering in DLSU, and Miss Makati Tourism in 2008. She’s dreamed of becoming a beauty queen ever since she saw Miriam Quiambao in Miss Universe 1999. “I like Miriam because she is very elegant, Shamcey because she’s beauty and brains, and Venus because she has character, she can speak well, and she’s good at ramp,” she says. 

Jam is a professional singer. She is a soprano who can sing Broadway and Classical music. She trained under Ana Feleo and Camille Lopez-Molina. Her favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera, and she dreams of playing the role of Christine Daaé. She also loves working out; her favorite pastime is going to the gym. She is also into tennis and gymnastics, and has a black belt in taekwondo. 


43    Rhea Nakpil, 23, San Mateo, Rizal 
Twenty-three year old Rhea has been working as a model since she was 13. At 15, she joined a reality artista search show. The money she earned from her modeling and acting jobs helped her finance her college education. She graduated with a degree in Communication from Miriam College. 

Rhea describes herself as “super workaholic,” a friendly yet competitive people person. “I try to do my best without stepping in anyone’s shoes,” she says. 

Rhea prefers to look up to Filipina beauty queens. Her beauty queen idol is Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz because she believes that Gloria still embodies being a beauty queen. 


44    Gabrielle Monique Runnstrom, 19, Las Piñas City 
Half-Swedish Gabrielle was born and raised in Sweden. She moved to the Philippines in 2009. She joined Binibining Pilipinas because she believed this experience will help her boost her confidence and make her more self-assured. She also hopes to be an inspiration to women. 

Gabrielle likes doing things with her hands, such as sewing and tinkering with model cars. She is also does go-karting. She comes from a family of racers, and was influenced by her engineer dad. She also wants to become a pilot.  She looks up to her mom for her strength and for the way she carries herself. 


45    Imelda Schweighart, 17, Puerto Princesa City 
Half-German teen Imelda Schweighart, from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, has been active in showbiz since she was 14 years old. Before showbiz beckoned, she lived a very simple life in Palawan. “I was a farm girl. Maitim ako nung bata ak kasi nagtatanim ako with my mom.” In high school, she took up swimming and wanted to represent the Philippines in competition. Now, she wants to take one of the coveted crowns so she can represent the country in international pageants. 

Her beauty queen idol is current Miss Universe Olivia Culpo because “she is herself; she has no need to have a fake smile, a fake personality—and it is very admirable. I admire her confidence; she is not afraid to be herself.” 


46    Amanda Noelle Navasero, 21, Makati City 
Mandie originally had no plans of joining a beauty pageant, but she was inspired by Miss Universe 2012 1st runner up Janine Tugonon’s success. She is currently studying for a Tourism degree in De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. A budding photographer, Mandie likes taking photos of people and places. She is training to become a photographer like her mom. She also likes Broadway musicals, and her favorites are Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Her favorite theater actress is Lea Salonga. 

She wants to be like Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz. She also wants to inspire people, and to put the Philippines on the map. 


47    Aiyana Mickiewicz, 23, Baguio City 
Aiyana is part-Polish, part-Ukrainian, and part-Filipino. She is a graduating BS Psychology student from the University of St. Louis in Baguio City. She joined Binibining Pilipinas because of her passion for beauty pageants. She thinks she has the determination, motivation, and physical, emotional, and mental endurance to be a beauty queen. 

Aiyana also likes working out and living the healthy life. “I can say I’m addicted to living healthy, especially since I started joining beauty pageants,” she says. She also loves hanging out with her friends, meeting new people, and playing with her pets. 

Her beauty queen idol is Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres. She likes how she did gave scholarships Puerto Rico and the Philippines. She hopes that being a beauty queen will give her an opportunity to build an organization that caters to kids, just like her idol Dayanara. 


48    Angeli Dione Gomez, 19, Cebu City 
Hailing from the Queen City of the South, 19-year-old Angeli thinks she is destined to become a beauty queen someday. She believes that beauty queens are born, not made. She majored in film at the International Academy of Film and television in Mactan, Cebu. 

Angeli used to ride horses and play polo, but an accident forced her to give it up. She now does poi, hoops, and contact juggling. She also collects jigsaw puzzles, and now has about 50 in her collection. 

She likes Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup. She admires Shamcey’s confidence and self-belief, and thinks that Shamcey is someone that all girls should look up to. 


49    Herlie Kim Artigue, 22, Cebu City 
Twenty-two year old Herlie is a nursing graduate from the University of San Carlos in Cebu. She joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant to experience something new; she sees the pageant as an avenue to further explore her options. This is only her second time to join a pageant; her first pageant was Miss Cebu in 2012, where she placed 4th runner up. Herlie is into photography, and loves to take pictures of people and places. She also considers herself a “mood artist”—her art depicts her current mood. She also likes to read, and her favorites include works by Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel, and Jodi Picoult. 

Her beauty queen idols are Miss Universe 1999 1st runner up Miriam Quiambao, Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj, and Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup. She believes that the three beauty queens are the epitome of beauty and brains—they are all very pretty, hardworking, and competitive. 




50    Ma. Cristina Ann Pascual, 21, Taytay, Rizal
It has always been Cristina’s dream to become a beauty queen, but she focused on her studies first. After graduating with a degree in accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA) last year, she is now free to pursue her dream. Cristina describes herself as very determined and disciplined, with a strong faith in God. She believes that these qualities helped her a lot in school, especially since her course was very challenging. She also thinks that these qualities will help her get far in the Binibining Pilipinas competition.

Her beauty queen idol is Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup. She would like to duplicate Shamcey’s feat of winning in her first national pageant.
